As a long time fountain pen enthusiast and letter writer, I wanted to see my own handwriting on ceramic art. I’ve often used the small 5” x8” legal pads as my go to quick notepads. The Notepad Series is designed in that style after half the pages are gone. I wanted to use quotes and ideas that inspire me, or truths that I need to remember. To create these, I wrote out each saying by hand with one of my favorite fountain pens. That was scanned into the computer and sent off to have decals made, that were then applied after the glaze firing and fired again. This project taught me a lot about the decal process and turning hand-drawn art & writing into ceramic decals. I hope you enjoy them.
